LID Master Plan for Anacostia River CSO Outfall 006

WORK PLAN

l Phase I  l  Phase II  l  Phase III  l  Phase IV  l

Overview

The work plan utilizes a proactive public outreach program and integration of information from other planning and design efforts in the study area into the LID Master Plan. The goal is to have a positive influence on these other efforts by educating the planning and design professionals who are conducting the other studies on the benefits of LID and to determine what are the appropriate processes and uses for LID in the planning process for future efforts. The public outreach component will be coordinated with these other efforts and also have meetings targeted at specific groups to determine the most desirable uses of LID for businesses and residents.

Components
This project will have discrete deliverables and a transparent process that can be documented and easily transferable. In order to accomplish this, the grant effort is divided into four (4) phases. Phase One is the gathering of information and development of initial program objectives and protocols. Phase Two is the development of the public outreach program that will be incorporated into the planning protocols. This information will be used to develop the planning protocols and strategies. Phase Three is the development of the Master Plan. Phase Four is the final presentation and project report. Each of the phases will be used as a foundation for the succeeding efforts. The initial efforts will rely heavily on involvement from the outreach team from AWS and the final efforts will primarily be the planning effort from LIDC. The Office of Planning will provide oversight, review, and some graphic and mapping support, and limited coordination of the effort. A more detailed identification of the products and deliverables will be developed as the project progresses. This is because there is still an inventory and assessment of the related efforts that is being conducted by OP and the fact that many of the other efforts are just beginning so it is difficult to evaluate the best pathways to coordinate and take advantage of those efforts. Listed below are some of the anticipated milestones/products for the effort.
