LID Standard Details and Specifications Technical Guidelines

Welcome

This web tool is being developed to help communities create better stormwater management programs through the advancement and implementation of sound technical solutions through the use of Low Impact Development (LID). LID is a stormwater management strategy with a goal of replicating pre-development hydrology while addressing critical watershed resource issues.

This effort is focused on promoting the use of the technology by creating a forum and clearinghouse for the development of details and specifications for Low Impact Development (LID) technologies. This is a volunteer effort which is being lead by the Low Impact Development Technical Guidelines Subcommittee of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Environmental Water Resources Institute (EWRI).

This is the first generation of the website. Our initial effort is to link interested parties to information and efforts that researchers, institutions, federal, state, and local governments are conducting to develop LID standard details and specifications. The purpose of this information is so that the engineering and scientific community can evaluate these efforts and potentially use them to develop and refine the technologies.

We also want to gather information on research needs and user experience with technologies. This information will be used to report on the state-of-the-art and help to create research agendas. If you have a link to LID standards and specifications, comments, or suggestions, please post them below.

The current set of links are found on the following page.
