Since 2016, the LID Center has offered the Rain Check Rebate Contractor Training for the Prince George’s County Department of the Environment. Held twice annually, the program equips landscape professionals with practical skills to plan, design, construct, and maintain stormwater best management practices (BMPs) eligible for County rebate programs.

This training combines classroom instruction and field experience, covering practices like rain gardens, permeable pavement, and other green infrastructure. Participants who complete both sessions are added to the County’s public list of certified Rain Check Rebate landscape professionals.
